Thank you for your interest in being a beta reader for our 2nd publication in the Echoes of Silva Island series, The Scavengers and the Storm (Book One)!

Beta Reader applications are due by end of day Saturday, September 27th.
Selected beta readers will be notified by end of day Wednesday, October 1st.
If selected, the full, digital pre-publication text will be sent to you on Monday, October 6th.
Feedback must be submitted by Saturday, November 1st.

We hope this is a restful read-aloud experience, and if you end up sharing a few thoughts, that would be a blessing! We also know homeschooling is a joyful (and sometimes exhausting!) journey. There’s absolutely no obligation—even if you sign up and aren't able to complete the book before the deadline.

Beta Reader Expectations

To be a successful beta reader, we're looking for young readers or families willing to commit to reading the text in its entirety and completing a feedback form (provided later) with questions regarding your thoughts on the content, style, plot, themes, and/or any specific questions or concerns you had while reading the manuscript (missed commas, spelling errors, timeline inconsistencies, etc.).

Please note, if you have not yet read No One Can Trust a Fox, it will not disqualify you from being selected as a beta-reader for The Scavengers and the Storm.

How likely are you to finish the book and submit your feedback on time?

If selected as a beta reader, you should receive the full text by October 6th. In order to evaluate your feedback before final edits and publication, we will need your completed feedback form by November 1st.
